You guys are the Nancy-Boys, why should anyone have life forced on them if they don't want it? It is so easy to be a yellow coward when you can anonymously insult a 16 Y.O. -from the comfort of your own computer- when a very young person who may not be as developed emotionally as you think 16 Y.O.'s should, is struggling with the most terrifying disease and decision of his young life. Why don't you go out and catch yourself a really good case of cancer and see how long it takes you to wet yourselves you sadistic bastards.

Oh, I agree that we should have control over our own bodies. That's why I took interest in the story when it first came up.

I'm just not real keen on refusing life saving treatment because it makes you uncomfortable. At an old age I could unerstand it, but at 16 facing a curable disese? It's his choice, but I'll still call him a wuss.

Justin! If we don't have control over our own bodies, our own destiny, our own medical care, what DO we have control over? From what I understand of this story, the boy is not just uncomfortable. He gets MORE sick from all the chemo and wishes he could die. I get sick from painkillers, so I cannot imagine what chemo would be like. Having poisons injected into my body to SAVE me. If he and his family know that he is sick enough that he may die without treatment and choose to ignore REAL medical advice, but in the end, the boy dies without 6 months or a year of total debilitating misery, then it's on them.
