Taurus Thunderbolt

Here’s a gun I’ve been curious about for a year now, the Taurus Thunderbolt. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any of them out on the shelves in the West Michigan area. Perhaps I need to look harder at the next gun show.

After I purchased my first levergun (Marlin 1894C) I got pretty geeked on cowboy carbines. They’re fun, and I’d like more. Around the same time I bought the 1894C the Taurus stuff was coming to fruition and the idea really appeals to me.

A pump-action pistol caliber carbine. The “throw” on them is about 2″ which means fast follow up shots. Even better you can keep your booger hook down on the bang switch and “slam” fire the things for some really fast shooting up close. Good for competition, and I suppose applicable to home defense to some degree.

I really need to get my hands on one sometime soon.

Here’s a write-up from GunBlast on them if you’d like more details.
