Stolen gun sale busted

Looks like the local boys down in Kalamazoo, MI intervened in the transfer of some stolen property. Good on them.

Investigators say the men had broken into the home of one of the suspects’ fathers earlier in the day and stole the firearms.

Nice one, skippy. Stealing firearms from your own father.

I actually have a personal experience to add here. I took a few (3?) of my fathers firearms and sold them to a gun shop when I was 18 for drugs. Of course he went looking for them and had to buy them back for the amount I pawned them for, but at least he got them back. I was a bit off my rocker back in those days. I was pretty self-centered, anger/pleasure driven and wrapped up in a mindset of needing social acceptance from my peers. It’s funny how those traits fade with age. I can’t blame the youth too much since I was young and stupid once myself. As my father would say … what I did in the past doesn’t make me a bad person, it just means I made bad choices. None of us can change our past no matter the intention in our hearts. I go hunting with my father pretty much every year these days. When it comes to family, forgive and forget really apply a lot … especially since family will always be family.
