Prototype 7.62×25mm AR-15

Teppo Jutsu has one here. Scroll down a bit and you’ll see it.

I’m geeked about this idea. It seems to make a lot of sense. The 7.62×25mm round is a submachine gun round so it actually picks up velocity from the longer barrel, or at least should given the proper loading.

Further, since there aren’t any other mass produced carbines in 7.62×25mm (unlike the 9mm and other common pistol rounds) an AR upper woudl likely be the cheapest way to get into the market. If not the cheapest, at least the most bang for the buck.

No pun intended.

Let’s hope this works out for them.
