Three of the Magpul PMAGs arrived in the mail today. They look to be pretty sturdy, far more sturdy that the USGI mags that I’ve been using. I tried jumping on one and that didn’t phase it. Of course, after seeing this video I’m not surprised:
I haven’t had a chance to use them yet, that’ll hopefully come early next week, but they lock into the magwell of my Bushmaster Dissipator just fine. I can use the magazine as a handle and swing the rifle about without it coming free.
I have noticed that they won’t drop fre after trying something like that. I’m not sure why that’d be the case, but it’s pretty consistent. They drop free if I lock them in and hit the mag release without torquing on it though.
