Ron Paul: Vegas Odds

I’m not sure what to make of this, but as somebody that’s pretty much lock-step inline with Ron Paul’s views on government I find it exciting. It seems just a few weeks ago Sportsbook.com was taking bets on him becoming president with 200:1 odds. They’ve just dropped that to 15:1.

I would love to be able to read something into the change in the odds line
(I am also a supporter of Ron Paul), but the reality may simply be that they are
shifting the line in response to demand from bettors, not because the smart money
thinks the odds of him winning have changed. Of course even in that case the shift
in the betting line at least reflects increased buzz around the campaign.

Ron Paul is the only way I’d vote Republican in 2008. Period.

Ron is true to the roots of the ideals of the actual Republican party before it was hijacked by religious fanatics. (Funny we are fighting the same problem overseas.) Actual Republican ideals seem a thing long forgotten. For the most part, personal liberty is out the door.

I was one of the few who were clapping when Ron Paul called out the existance of NeoCon ideology in the other candidates.

The Republican party is now mostly a platform for the majority religion to control society and our actions based on what they think are the correct set of morals for society to have. Many believe the need to enforce these morals trump the original definition of liberty given to us by great men such as Thomas Jefferson during the birth of this country.

I do differ from Ron on a few issues, but agree with about 80+ percent of what he says. To compare that, I agree with about 5% of what GWBush says and about 30% for BClinton. An example of 100%? Thomas Jefferson.
