I’ve been meaning to get into reloading for a while now. Previously I didn’t have the space for it. That’s been remedied. The other issue is that I don’t know dick shit about reloading.
Think we found a solution to that.
I was over at an old high school buddy’s place yesterday when I mentioned that tomorrow as the CAS State shoot. My buddy’s dad caught that and we got to talking guns, which quickly went down the road to reloading. He’d just set up a new bench and was having a blast with it. No pun intended.
Soo.. we drove over to his place and he walked me throug loading up 9mm on a single stage press.
Next thing I know I’m off to Gander Mountain today buying 1800 round of CCI small pistol primers, 1000 CCI magnum pistol primers, 1lb of Unique and 9oz of Trail Boss.
I’ve known I’d have to start doing this for a while. I usually shoot cheap stuff like .223, 7.62x39mm, 9mm, .40S&W and .45ACP. Yes, you can reaload that stuff and save money but it’s not necessary. The .44Mag, .45LC, .357Mag, are another matter — they’re costly. Now, when you start talking 7.7Jap and 8x56mm, well, I’ve -got- to start loading my own if I want to every shoot those things.
Soo… there’s that.
