I swore this show off a while ago but I’m watching it now. Looks like they’ve changed formats a bit. The host isn’t whispering all the time and he doesn’t come across as “Look at me, I’m a Navy SEAL Sniper. Bask in my awesomeness!” like he did previously.
It’s not too bad now.
However, they’re doing “skits” now it seems. Staged missions and the like showing off the technology. That part sucks, but the back-and-forth with the weapons designers and such is right up my alley.
One of the things I just saw was the Corner Shot system out of Israel. Nifty idea. Not sure if it’ll pan out though. The funny thing is that they’re now putting stuffed cats on the gun that goes around the corner. I guess the idea is they’ll poke that around the corner, the target has a “WTF is a cat doing here?” moment and then they shoot them.
I’m having a WTF moment here myself.
A form of invisibility is possible now. Make battle clothing that is covered with the new flexible OLED technology. Then use multiple cameras and a lot of computing power to calculate and display the proper images.
Here is the OLED technology:

I need to get a Thermal Imaging unit.
