Somebody alerted Marko to some marketing material put out by Dr. Ignatius Piazza of the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute that was plagiarizing some of Marko’s writing.
They attribute the writing to the wrong person (not the first time it’s happened with that piece) but they also omit one single word from the essay: gay.
Just another reason for me to cringe a bit when I see Piazza’s name.
Wal-Mart is going to start videotaping all gun transactions.
I don’t see this doing any good at all. You’ve already got to see a photo ID when buying the gun. They record the ID number off your driver’s license or state ID card at the time of purchase, they have your name, address, height, weight, place of birth, etc. all on file.
Sorry, guys, but I can buy my goods elsewhere.
Theresa and I spent a 3-day weekend up in Traverse City, MI this weekend. It was nice.
It’s what we do instead of trying to find gifts for each other on our birthdays. They’re only 8 days apart, so a small trip works out pretty well. It’s twice that we’ve done this and it’s twice that we’ve gone to Traverse City. Nice town, plenty of places to eat, and given that we do this in early April it’s pretty cheap. This year we got a room right on the bay with a nice view, in-room jacuzzi, and plenty of space for about $80 a night.
For a quick 3 day trip cats aren’t a big deal. Just leave them a big pile of food and plenty of fresh water. We’ve got a 100oz fountain that keeps their water from feeling stale. The dog on the other hand is another matter. You can’t leave a dog alone for a whole day, let alone 3 days. So, my youngest brother house sat for us again. We sure do appreciate it when he does that.
