Kahr’s going to start shipping a new .380 pistol next month. This one’s in the same market as the Kel-Tec P3AT and the Ruger LCP.
Competition is good. Note to Kel-Tec: It’s time to start getting creative. Perhaps you should start with coming up with a grip-texture that doesn’t make me bleed after 100 rounds?
Kel Tec has always been a creative company. They CREATED the market for reasonably powered, yet super-light mouseguns… sure there have always been small guns, but Kel Tec was the first to make inexepensive guns that weigh next to nothing, shoot a respectable round, and can be concealed even if you are only wearing speedos (not that I’ve tried…)
I think Kel Tec has been focusing more on scary black rifles lately. Their RFB looks quite innovative, although it doesn’t seem to fit into their normal “affordable plastic gun” niche.
Frankly, I’m surprised it took Ruger and Kahr this long to realize that Kel Tec was the #3 pistol manufacturer in the country.
Oh, and my P32 isn’t uncomfortable to shoot. I’ve heard you can smooth out the grips a little if they bother you that much.
