The Power of the POTUS

Posted on May 8th, 2008 in Politics, USA by Justin

LawDog writes a bit on what the Constitutional powers of the POTUS are. In the closing he remarks:

Are we so desperate for an absolute monarch that we blindly and joyously allow our Presidential candidates to claim powers that are restricted to Congress?

Yeah, I think that’s about the state of things.

I think I’m going to cancel my cable . . . I’m tired of the same news over and over.

And Comedy Central is the only channel I watch . . .
I can get my drag racing fix at the local bar, and on a Sunday I think that they might even turn on the volume for me . . .

I’m tired of it. The BS spewed from all the idiots, and blindly absorbed by the masses, it makes me sick.
What is one to do to keep from going crazy . . . it’s coming at me from all angles. Too much political stupidity.

I just need to figure out how to get free internet . . .

Damn, I just heard a TV ad saying how the “Cops are cracking down on seatbelt violations . . . . . . write tickets to save lives . . .”

It’s not the officer’s business that I wear my seatbelt. I always do, but I’m tired of worrying about getting accused of lame shit like that.
