Stupid Software

Gah. I’ve had 3-4 pieces floating around in draft mode for a while now. I log on tonight thinking I’d actually finish one up (which usually means pruning the heck out of it for me) and publish it.

Only to find that none of them are available to me. I don’t know WTF Wordpress is doing here. I just ran a quick test to make sure I wasn’t losing my freaking mind. Write a post, hit ‘Save’, navigate off the page, and pull up all my drafts. Boom. Not there. Tried it twice.

Okay, maybe this is a bug that’s been fixed. Download WP 2.6.1, extract, wire OS X Finder up to my blog’s FTP account… and I don’t have permissions to modify anything.

Damnit. I shouldn’t be that pissed off at this, because I’m sure it’s something simple, but it’s really digging at me right now.

I write code for 10 hours a day. I really don’t want to wrestle with my damned hobby some nights, but I do it anyway.

.327 Magnum Gel Test

Brassfetcher has posted the results of a .327 Magnum gel test.

Impressive. Nearly 14″ of penetration and the round (a 115 grain Speer Gold Dot JHP) expanded to half an inch in diameter, and that’s out of a nice short 3.1″ barrel.
