There’s an issue where they’ll fire if dropped, so if you have one check to make sure your pistol isn’t one of the defective ones.

It’s been impossible to get one! I guess with all the recalls I’ll have to wait even longer now…
I have an LCP. I have confidence in it. Ruger customer service is exemplary. When I asked for the updated hold-back, they sent it to me at no charge. The LCP was the first gun I ever worked on, but I was able to make the change without much difficulty even though it is taken apart considerably to make the exchange.
The fact that they initiated a recall when it is not clear that they were required to do so increases my admiration for the company.

I know two guys that bought them, both are jammers. I’m a Ruger fan but the facts are starting to come out on the LCP…..
If they are jamming, then try a different round. I have tried several and there have been no jams whatsoever.
How do you feel about having your pinky finger dangle off the bottom of the Ruger LCP? I can’t get used to it coming from full size pistols.
