I agree with your statement regarding the standard .380′s penetration ability. FWIW, the Buffalo-Barnes .380+P firing an all copper hollow point projectile at 1200+ fps and 289ft lbs from a 3.5″ barrel doesn’t have this problem. The round not only would have penetrated the skull but would have exited as well, putting the subject down with some finality. The pharmasist could have saved himself a lot of trouble by choosing appropriate ammunition for self defense. That said, leaving the store to chase the other suspect was just plain stupid and I believe he crossed the line with the additional 5 shots. One or NONE would probably have been suffient as he could most likely have disarmed the subject without further deadly force. Just my 2 cents.

What do you expect from our joke of a justice system. The same one that gave us the railroading of white police officers, OJ, and the Ramos and Compean injustice.

This is why you can not trust the US justice system. How can you be charged as murder while some thugs robbing you with a gun? What the pharmacist did here is to make sure the robber wont have a chance to shoot him back later. He was not the person who initiated this incident…the robber was!
